Peter is Director of International Development at Protection Group International, a global risk management firm. In September 2013, PGI was named by the Sunday Times as the third fastest growing exporter in the UK, with turnover of over £60m.  Peter is also a senior advisor at Omnia Strategy LLP, a strategic law firm that advises major Government and corporate clients on international issues, chaired by Cherie Blair QC. His early career was in the Foreign and Commonwealth Office, where in addition to diplomatic roles he was responsible for the selection and training of fast-stream new entrants, and as a consultant at McKinsey.  He is the former Chief Operating Officer of Coffey International Development Ltd, responsible for political and economic reform programmes in a wide variety of developing and post-conflict countries including Afghanistan, Bosnia, Iraq, Ghana, Nigeria, Sierra Leone and Sri Lanka.  He has an MPhil in Economics from the University of Oxford and an MBA with Distinction from INSEAD. His experience of recruitment and training at the FCO led directly to him creating the original idea of Mettletest to provide recruiters with a different and improved personnel assessment and development tool.
